College Students

  • Who are college students?

On average, a college student is between the ages of 18-24. College students can be either part-time or full time students desiring for a higher level of education. College students are in a unique stage of life in which they are exploring their independence, continuing to develop their identity, and oftentimes, establishing long-term goals. A lot of times, going to college is the first time being away from home, which can be simultaneously fun and scary.

  • Engagement

Exodus Counseling Center acknowledges that being a college student can be both one of the most exciting stages of life, but also the most challenging. Exodus Counseling Center validates this experience and meets the client where they are at in order to ensure that the individual’s emotional needs are being met.

  • Challenges

With being a college student comes a lot of challenges that can make going to therapy difficult. There can be financial concerns, lack of time or high levels of stress in which therapy becomes “just one more thing to do.” Exodus Counseling Center will work with you to accommodate your schedule, develop a plan to ensure finances are not an issue in regards to engaging in therapy, and understanding that sometimes that “just one more thing to do,” may be what you need to have a more positive college experience.
