Adults

Adults

  • Who are adults?

Adults are individuals who are 18+. Adults are fully grown and developed individuals who come with their own unique set of circumstances. Adults carry a variety of responsibilities, including, but not limited to: paying bills, raising children, engaging in relationship with a significant other, fulfilling job responsibilities, and more. Through adulthood, family dynamics and interpersonal relationships can become more complex.

  • Engagement

It is essential to ensure that the therapist and individual have a positive therapeutic relationship. As previously mentioned, relationships can be complex, and this may contribute to the connection between client and therapist. The varying personalities between the therapist and client may not be a good fit, and that’s okay. Exodus Counseling Center will provide support if it is learned that another provider would be of more benefit to the client.

  • What to Expect

Exodus Counseling Center provides a non-judgmental stance and listening ear. You can expect your therapist to be authentic, caring and empathetic. You can expect a safe space to process through your past experiences in order to facilitate positive growth and change. Your therapist will work with you to identify existing strengths and develop new ones.
